Sometimes the best first response to God’s Word is prayer. Please join me in responding to today’s Holy Nougat
“To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.” Matthew 13:12 NLT
So dear Lord today; we crave the ability to listen more dearly to You; and that we apply Your Word more intentionally in our own lives as a visible witness to the world. Help us to hear Your Word in the mundane and germane, when we might otherwise have missed You speaking, teaching, directing us in our daily walk.
And when we are in doubt, reluctant to obey, or fearful about the next steps we ought to take; may Your Word be our strength and support along the way.
Remind us oh Lord when we trouble ourselves to discern our purpose, and when we feel we have lost our way … to meditate on Your Word, the Light for our paths.
You have promised greater understanding when we take You, the Living Word, to heart. Thank You Jesus. May we ask that You not only bless us with understanding of Your World; but also Wisdom to deal with each other and to guide others to You.
Forgive us our unwillingness to take Your Word to heart dear Lord. Restore and renew us unto Yourself dear Jesus we pray, amen
