Last weekend, hurricane Matthew was a very real threat to Jamaica. Since then, it has devastated Haiti, battered parts of the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas, en route to Florida. Many have been traumatized and terrified.

Unfortunately, Fear does not only visit during hurricanes. It is an (unwelcome) guest in our lives for many a situation. Today, we’re reminded that we have an alternative, we can choose to Trust God.
This trust does not assume the removal of the threat, rather it recognizes that God is Lord over everything, including a literal storm.
Do we have witnesses to God’s transforming power in the storms of life?
