November’s first week is almost done, how have you utilised it?
Here’s today’s nougat
Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.” John 4.34
Often, we attend a worship service and speak about the solid food we receive, i.e. the exposition of the Word. And that is very important for our spiritual growth. Yet Jesus insists that spiritual meat is to be found in DOING or rather living the Word.
I’d like to suggest that they both go hand in hand. For us to grow spiritually, we must hear and live the Word:
Assembling with fellow believers,
Personal quiet time
Living consciously for Christ
Let’s work the work while there’s time
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
