Many of us have received the mail outing Tommy Hilfigger as racist; but few have seen the follow up video proving that mail wrong. The thing is, the email cited an interview with Oprah as proof; which the video denies (see attached). And one is left wondering Why?
For some, it does not matter, we’ve already made our choices and that’s that. No argument there. But what about the time when such a rumor (or a lesser one) was spread about us – individually. Perhaps not even a lie; but harmful, reputation-destroying gossip? What then, are we still unconcerned? Or if it’s targeted a close friend or family member – is it still harmless then?
Sometimes, we are the ones guilty of crafting stories – little white lies perhaps- to justify our purposes. Again, we consider the long-term/ripple effect of such. And, as Hilfiger says, our integrity. For, that’s one of those which can live after we’ve gone.
May I urge us to consider today’s Holy Nougat in all our interactions. It could make a world of difference
