Blessings one and all

I trust you basked in God’s presence yesterday during your Just Us session. How was it, were you able to connect, or not? Sometimes it is hard to make that God connection when our faith is wavering.

On that note, let’s have a nibble at today’s Holy Nougat™

When they saw him, they worshiped him—but some of them doubted! Matthew 28:17 NLT

Doubt. That’s some serious business right there. Not for the confident, conscious Christian, is it? And yet, we might recall that even John the Baptist had a moment or two when his Faith wavered off orbit.

We also recall the father desiring healing for his child and starting quite profoundly, “Lord, I believe, please help my unbelief” and Jesus rewarded him for his honesty.

So what about you and I, how do we worship how do we maintain genuineness when have questions? Can we be authentically Christian in the face of our unrelenting questions about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the world at large?

I believe we can.

Especially if we begin our God conversation with clarity and openness. Then we would observe a willingness to admit, rather to claim, one’s concerns like John did after he was thrown in jail. To say, ‘Lord, I’ve got questions. Would You help me out?’ I believe that this is what God desires, us being honest and open, for that’s when TRUE communication begins, that’s when revelation from God is more feasible and our faith begins to soar.

Having been up front about our concerns, it’s time to listen – spending time in the Word, and even more time meditating and in prayer. Sometimes we will need that dogged persistence like Jacob (I won’t let you go until You speak to me/until I feel Your presence). Sometimes we get that quiet assurance which saturates our soul.

What is important is that we remain in connection with God, not allowing the doubt to overshadow every aspect of our Faith.

So, if your faith is wavering, remenber Doubt is healthy when we allow it to strengthen our connection with God.

Thanks for joining us in this Divine feast.

In Christ’s love and grace
