Today’s Holy Nougat™ is both a source of praise and a revelation about the nature of God
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. Psalms 138:2 KJV
Within the act of Worship is embedded Praise. The praise elevates who God is: Lovingkindness and Truth. More importantly however, is the revelation that God takes God’s promises to us very seriously. God’s Word is God’s bond.
So, in the best of times, we take that knowledge for granted, but it all comes to the test when the going gets tough. The thing is, although God’s Word offers vindication from the enemy; it also advises us that the godly WILL undergo trials. The good news is, God IS with us. Especially when the going gets tough and we feel all alone. The references and the proof are to be found all over the Bible.
So whether we worship corporately or individually, let us praise God for God’s unfailing faithful love, truth and also for the fact that God’s promises need no warranty. They are forever sure.
