Hi dear

I pray you are well. Prayer has always been important aspect of a believer’s life, and in these times; we cannot emphasize the need for prayer enough. This is also the focus of Today’s Holy Nougat.

“Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Although pray in the Spirit usually always refers to the act of speaking in tongues while praying; I’d like to propose an alternative perspective. I wish to suggest that praying in the Spirit could also be an invitation-directive to pray AS LED BY God’s Spirit.

Should there be merit to my proposal, we would pray as God’s Spirit leads us. Like when someone ‘crosses our mind’ with regularity – whether or not we know what’s going on.

Or in our personal quiet times we get a gentle prod to pray – just do it. And, most importantly, when someone shares a burden and asks us to pray. That one is the real deal isn’t it? Yet many times we agree to do so, but don’t.

We usually have good/legitimate reason for not following through with praying, including forgetfulness. Might I offer a quick fix: Pray in the Moment. When asked, when urged by God’s Spirit or white our mind is running on a person. It may be that our prayer holds the key to another’s breakthrough.

And, if you do have the gift of intercession – especially using your prayer language – please don’t hesitate to do so. Times such as these call for prayer. It’s always in season and usually welcome.

(P.s. if we feel ill-equipped, practice makes perfect).

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
