Nougat 5

Greetings folks

We continue with our reflection on temptation in today’s Holy Nougat

“If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Firstly let’s be reminded that temptation is also testing. So it can be a looooooong season, and we don’t know what is coming. There are two bits in the Nougat worth considering.

1. Temptation/Testing can show up when we least expect it. “If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall.” It suggests that the enemy waits for moments such as those to hit. Let’s let that sink in for a bit.

Folks, WE HAVE TO BE ON OUR GUARD AT ALL TIMES!!!! All Times. Because it is not unlikely for the enemy to come with a full barrage of weapons and stress all at once. Some folks refer to it as ‘more pon plenty’ or ‘punkas pon pankas’. It means that we have to keep our Bible study and prayer life in the up and up!

2. There is hope for us in the mix though. Our ”God is faithful”. We KNOW our God is not forsaking us. For Isaiah assures us that “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight [for He will come like a rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives]. [Matt. 8:11; Luke 13:29.]” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59‬:‭19‬ ‭AMPC‬‬. Yes, the enemy comes; yes the enemy comes with an onslaught;

BUT

God’s Spirit WILL PUT THE ENEMY TO FLIGHT!!!!

We ARE NOT ALONE That’s why our prayer life & our Bible Study MUST BE ON POINT!

We are assured of God’s protection and coverage. That is our guarantee for a way out! Let’s use our Way Out!
