Greetings
Been caught between a rock and a hard place and found human support missing or wavering? Consider today’s Holy Nougat
“So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?””
Hebrews 13:6 NLT
A helper. Not distant from our immediate ordinary concerns. Available. Reliable. Vulnerable. Supportive.
That is not the average expectation for one who is in a position of power. Yet, that is one way of understanding God, Eli ezer, God our helper.
What is your current situation? And in that situation, what is your declaration? Does God feature in it or are we relying on our own strength? God forbid!
Despite the threat (or perhaps because of), and no matter the provocation; when a battle is brought before us – we know that our God is present and available. Our Help, in Whom we can trust. Our God does not groan at the burden placed before the altar. Rather, the Lord is ready, waiting to take OUR yokes and substitute them for easy, light ones. With God as our Helper, we can rest easy.
So when life comes, our goal is to call for Help and allow the Lord to take control totally and wholly.
How amazing!
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
