So there they were, locked out of their room with NO key! It wasn’t even hilarious. But then, the voice which accompanied the knock was recognized, and presto!, the door opened.

Has that ever happened to you? Or worse yet, have you stood outside a building waiting, only to realize that you had the key? Frustrating, isn’t it? Yet as followers of Christ, we are probably guilty of the same. Don’t agree – consider today’s Holy Nougat
“And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”” Matthew 16:19 NLT
Upon confession of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, we have immediate access to the Heavenly Realm with the authority to speak into situations and yet many of us operate as ones without God’s power. I’m not going on about miracles or prosperity here, just inviting us to consider a shift in perspective. For, with Keys to the heavenlies, it means we have spiritual clearance to speak/act on God’s behalf. Do our lives reflect that?
And, should we feel that we’ve lost our authority, then perhaps it’s time to call out to the One who recognizes our voice and will let us in. If Christ will go after 1, there’s an exceptional probability that He will respond when we call. Moreover if we DON’T know How to use the keys I guarantee that with a simple request, we Shall be guided on usage. But first, prayer eh.
