Grace and peace to you. Have you ever got caught doing the wrong thing for the right reason? And found that God sorted it out nevertheless? What a God!

Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!” Matthew 26:41 NLT
Directed to his “inner circle” on the long night of the soul, Jesus sought to prepare Peter, James and John for what was coming. They did not heed Jesus (for the lure of sleep was great), and yielded to temptation shortly after.
If we had a way to know when temptation was coming, like the disciples did, would it make a difference? Perhaps not. Actually, we do. Walking with the Lord affords us the chance for God to warn us in time to be on the alert.
Sometimes, we’re just not paying attention. Let us always be on the alert, for the enemy of our souls seeks EVERY opportunity to destroy our credibility as children of God. And when we do fall into temptation, may we be repentant, quickly seeking restoration through Christ in God’s presence.
