Hello

The time is seriously galloping away. We just greeted each other for the first of the year, and it’s already the beginning of the first full week in February. Seems we ought to ensure that we make the best use of the time we have, because we never know…

Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™

Is any thing too hard for the Lord ? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the Lord .Genesis 18:14, 22 KJV

Did you notice it before? That last segment in the verse? Where Abraham remains with the Lord for a conversation even after the other guests had left? Sounds pretty incredible doesn’t it? Can you picture it?

Would you still be standing before the Lord after receiving such a powerful promise? Was Abraham simply being courteous, or did he have something pressing to say to the Lord away from an audience? Could he sense that there was more to the conversation than the announcing of Isaac’s birth?

Sometimes, even when things seem to be moving swimmingly along, we might wish to redeem our time by extending our personal quiet time with God. We might opt to engage the Lord after the crowd has left. It might change our perspective.

Assuming you remained to talk with the Lord, what would you talk about? Current affairs, family relationships, the neighbors, work, the economy … What? Since the opportunity will arise, let’s plan on basking in the presence of the Lord, as well as using the time to intercede for others. Now that would be using our time wisely!

God bless you.

Thanks for joining us in this Divine feast.

In Christ
