Blessed July 4th to you.
Last week read like a really bad script from a horror movie, rather than reality.
Unfortunately, it seems to be a sign of the times, literally and spiritually.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
“Son of man, you live among rebels who have eyes but refuse to see. They have ears but refuse to hear. For they are a rebellious people”. Ezekiel 12:2 NLT
If those were God’s words to Ezekiel then, what would the word be now? Bombings, trafficking of persons, crazy freak accidents, drowning, mass murders, are but a few of the headlines we are likely to see even without watching the news.
But we’re not permitted to exercise dismay, wringing our hands. It’s time for action!
We must find our prophetic voices to speak out against corruption and injustice.
We must activate our compassionate hearts to offer love to the lost, wounded and surviving.
We must be bread and wine to those who hunger and thirst and are dying for God’s glory
We must be prepared to die …so that ourselves and others might live.
Really tall order for really tough times.
