Hello my friend
How are you? Can you imagine the first week of 2019 is basically over? Yes indeed. Time to resume the normal routine if we hadn’t already done so. For many of us that includes decisions. Might I recommend today’s Holy Nougat?
“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” Psalms 119:105 NLT
So many of us are desirous of direction and clarity in life. Whether for life & relationship issues, career plans, studies or even spiritual goals. There we stand, at the crossroads, where for some of us it’s as if we’re by the pool of Bethesda – we have been crippled with indecisiveness for so long, we don’t know how to move. Others of us are ready to move, but there are other factors to be considered. And of course, there are those of us for whom decisions are not very important – we make them and move on.
Wherever we are on the spectrum, one thing is for certain … God’s got us; God’s with us; and – as was done with Moses and the Israelites in the wilderness – we KNOW God’s got illumination for our journey, personalized for our exact circumstance. Oh yes.
I agree that it’s a bit cliched to say God’s Word is the antidote to all that ails us, especially when life happens and it feels like God is on vacation. Yet, even then, having God’s Word (as literal still small voice, Word made flesh dwelling within us, or biblical Word) provides an extra comfort at the moment.
Tapping into the Illuminating Word is then crucial for decision-making. The joy is, a simple request and a serving of patience gets us there. And, contrary to some theories, seeking God’s direction is not admitting ineptitude.
Decisions to be made and a trustworthy solution and Source needed? Try God’s Word. You might have an unexpected epiphany that changes your life forever!
Blessings and good morning
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
