Blessings one and all
After praying together what better way to water our faith while we await God’s answers, than today’s Holy Nougat™
When Jesus heard him, he stopped and ordered that the man be brought to him. As the man came near, Jesus asked him,
“What do you want me to do for you?” “Lord,” he said, “I want to see!”. Luke 18:40-41 NLT
What is it that affords Bartimeaus honorable mention in the Gospel narrative? This was a man born blind who receives public audience with Jesus. Here’s what we infer in these two verses:
Firstly, he was loud enough to be heard above the din. He literally arrested Jesus’ attention. Secondly, he was ready to meet with Jesus when acknowledged. Most of all, he was very clear about what it was that he desired.
Bartimeaus wanted the gift of sight. He was not deterred by anything or anyone. That’s perseverance. And our God rewards perseverance.
Is there something which you aren’t desire from God? Have you ever undergone a season which just wouldn’t end? Or found yourself inexplicably stuck like a hamster on a cycle of pain and/or life’s disappointments? If so, might I encourage you to press on. Ignore the ‘haters’ and make your way (especially spiritually) to The One who’s able to heal and restore. Press, and do not despair. Press and don’t hesitate to cry out.

Be ready for God’s transformation
Practice articulating your needs in prayer. May the Lord reward your perseverance.
