Hi

How familiar are you with the weight of waiting? Not an easy road; trust me! Today’s Holy Nougatoffers valuable insights in the weighty waiting game

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:14 NIV

Amid the fight for his life, while traversing the Valley of Shadows, David advises, ‘wait on God’s intervention!Take heart; do NOT take matters in your own hands. I repeat, await God’s intervention’

But waiting isn’t always easy. Especially when it seems like someone turned the clock back or that no one updated God that you were truly ready for your breakthrough. If you’re one of those who has read the chapter, you’d have heard David denouncing fear in no uncertain terms. It is possible that that being able to recognize fear stimulator increases your ability to persevere and builds your strength. And strength isn’t so much about physical muscle mass as it is about mental, emotional and spiritual strength birthed in the delivery room of adversity, triumph and hope.

It is also interesting to note that ‘wait on God’s timing’ is repeated. Biblical repetition is more than just a stylistic device. Rather; it invites the audience to pay special attention to what is being conveyed. So here’s a thought: outside of the literal phrases contained, what might God be presenting for your consideration? Does it uplift, could it engage you spiritually? Are you needing God’s strength in your hour of waiting?

Wait, I say on the Lord

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
