Despite his status as known murderer, Cain negotiated with God regarding his punishment as vagabond wanderer. Abraham, whose status was much more wholesome, also had conversations with God (sometimes he was negotiating/interceding for others in the process).
In other cases, God revealed God’s heart for humanity, having wonderful conversations in the process.
