For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 NLT
In the course of a mere fortnight, several seasons passed. It was a time to plant roots .. apartments were being purchased/leased; a time to celebrate … from baby showers to pastors appreciation; a time to mourn … a few funerals had time both speeding past and dragging slowly on. With each new event there was enough time to reflect on life.
It once again became apparent that in recognizing life’s seasons we are less likely to take others for granted. Additionally, the diverse events invited introspection about how we’ve lived and the legacies we would wish to gift others with.
The gifting not only include the material and fiscal, but also the psychological, physical and emotional. And the gift is first given to Christ, our example, who avails us to give. We give of ourselves, and we give ourselves to Christ who have that we might have life in abundance.
I believe that it is a time for giving. How about you?
