Have you ever faced the impossible, or worse yet, been surrounded by persons who don’t believe in your dreams? Could it be time to switch your crowd, just like Jesus did?

The crowd laughed at him. But he made them all leave, and he took the girl’s father and mother and his three disciples into the room where the girl was lying.

Sometimes, just as it was with Jesus, the critics are watching for what looks like our failures, waiting to remind us that they KNEW we would fail. If that is your current experience, then perhaps it’s time to get rid of the negativity around you. We are told that when the crowd began laughing (jeering I’d say); Jesus didn’t argue or even bluster. He REMOVED them from his PRESENCE. That’s right; he fired them.
So why should we entertain scoffers, persons who don’t believe in our dreams? As we continue with our spiritual spring cleaning, let us invite the One who is able to keep us, to surround us with the right persons for every single situation.
And Lord, help us to add that positive, supportive and encouraging note to the lives of others, we pray, in Jesus’s name Amen
