It’s interesting to note that Bartimaeus did not wait for proof that his sight would be restored to act on his request. No He did not. Instead, he raced to the Healing Source; thrusting aside every weight and encumbrance that was in his way.
Can you SEE that video in your mind’s eye? He couldn’t. And yet he ran. Forrest Gump had nothing on him. Usain Bolt and Elaine Thompson were left in the starters blocks. For Bartimaeus, this was about the Living Legend Jesus Christ, even though it was not the Olympics!
It is possible that the pre-crucified Christ only passed Bartimaeus’ way once. But we encounter the ascended Christ all the time. Yet, armed with proof from our own experiences as well as the testimony of others
We Hesitate …
Do we dare trust him when we’re at Rock-bottom? Why not? We have nothing to lose. And a lot to gain. Small steps. Mustard Seed faith. (a whole lot for some of us to muster).
Let’s both try.
