Hi

Treasure today, it is a gift. There’ll be no other off it bearing this date. Be aware, savor this day and seek opportunities to be a blessing.

Here’s today’s nougat

Then the Lord told him, “Get up and go to the street called ‘Straight,’ and at Judas’ house look for a man from Tarsus named Saul. For he is praying… Acts 9.12

Have you ever wondered whether God really speaks to the likes of you and me? Whether God notices the little things we do? Perhaps Ananias had one of those moments too. Whether or not, there he was, literally minding his own business, when he gets instructed by God to impact the life of Saul of Tarsus.

It’s funny, isn’t it, how quickly a desire to serve goes south. Because Saul of Tarsus was known for annihilating the people of the Way. If God called you, of all people, to serve – how then do you respond?

—With joy?

OMG! Good chose to visit me; be it unto me according to Your will

—With a touch of logic;

Lord really? You do realize that he’s a notorious persecuter of Christians? Are you sure you want to send me?! Hmmm, let me put a fleece out

—With fear and trembling;

Erm Lord. ahem Lord; you know that I am not equipped to speak on your behalf. What say you ask…

Does the nature of God’s request then cloud your ability to hear and obey? And bearing in mind the fact that God’s direct interaction often involves the absolute miraculous, are you ready for contact? If so, how about saying to God; here am I, use me!

If you can use anything Lord, you can use me (x2)

Take my hands Lord, and my feet

Take my heart Lord, speak through me

If you can use anything Lord, you can use me (c) Ron Kenoly

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
