Hello my dears

Do you realize that for better or worse 2016 is just about done? Amazing isn’t it. And through it all, God kept us. Thank you Jesus!

Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™

Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.” Isaiah 6:8 NLT

What if we still lived in the era which coined the phrase, ‘If the message is bad, kill the messenger’? How willing would we be to respond to God’s rhetorical question?

The response should remain ‘yes’, because God’s message is always good right? Erm, not quite. Especially not in the days of the prophets. Ask Jeremiah or Hosea. Trust me, they KNOW that being God’s messenger is sometimes a bit challenging.

But times have changed somewhat, and the core message remains the same, “God loves us and wants us to remain in full relationship always.” In light of the core message, is there any shift in our willingness to be sent? Stuttering is not a problem, neither is a gift for the gab. In fact, even if we did not have stellar life experiences in 2016, God still can transform our messenger skills. But first, are we willing.

Hmmmn. What will our answer be?

Will we scoff in anticipation of how messengers are treated?

Will we refuse, based on our 2016 experiences?

Or will we simply respond, “Here I am, Lord, send me”?

Thanks for joining us today.

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
