Hello siblings,
As we approach the new year when we’ll resume reflections, I’m sharing prayers written in various seasons of my life.
Please pray with me
Lord
You have not gifted us with a spirit of fear …
Rather, You have gifted us with is a sound mind … the capacity to think and reason things out. So You offer to us thought processes that can work things out to their intended spiritual conclusion. For with our minds, we can ‘see’ You in the details, or anticipate Your support throughout. With sound minds dear Lord, You offer us the capacity for problem solving. May our lives reflect Your Wisdom in every situation, particularly when things seem impossible. Take over dear Lord. When You’ve gifted us Power, Abba, we can face the fight knowing Whose we are, and that You’ve never lost a battle. In Your power therefore, we can walk on scorpions set for us, and not get harmed; we drink the poison set for us and still survive. Our power comes from You YHWH Sabaoth, so we lean into You for guidance in facing this war. Like David, we declare to the enemy … ‘you come with terminologies and links, with deception and fawning (sword and spear), but we come in the name of the Lord. So Lord, we acknowledge Your Love. It is the only way to disarm the enemy. The aim is to kill, steal, and destroy, but in You, we can forgive. Your love offers life beyond this battle. We shall overcome We have overcome! So we say no to fear. Down with Goliath and all other forms of intimidation. Lord, Your love, Your power, and Your wisdom leads us into victory. Thank You Abba for being with us every step of the way. Amen
