Hello

Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™

They have told no lies; they are without blame. Revelation 14:5 NLT

Wow!

That comment on its own would have automatically resulted in several Christians missing God’s mark. But with Christ being in the mix, we have hope for that as our future.

On our own, being blameless is downright impossible, this isn’t something we can turn on at the drop of a hat. For had that been the case, we’d all be blameless.

But in Christ, our Game Changer, the implausible becomes possible. In Christ, we are no longer blinded by our sinful nature, rather we are drawn to be like him when he comes.

I’m not inviting us to argue the facts regarding Christ’s return. But I am inviting us to consider allowing Christ’s return to begin in the here and now, in our hearts. It’s a very simple procedure.

A. Admit that we have sinned and cannot undo its impact.

B. Recognize that God has provided us with a Way Out from that one-way dead end existence, and it doesn’t require a pound of our flesh.

C. Choose the Way Out. In Christ we have the assurance of victory over death AND the power to be counted as blameless. (Plus He’s already sacrificed his entire being for us)

D. Walk confidently in this new life, remembering that God is faithful to complete this new work in us through Christ Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. (Now that’s great news and a reason to celebrate)

E. Having received Christ’s offer, maintain the relationship with prayer, reading God’s Word and fellowshipping with the saints.

Remember we’re all on the journey, none of us is yet blameless (although we act as though we expect other saints to be blameless). Let us make allowances for this, as we all desire forgiveness when we act outside of our new spiritual nature and calling.

May God’s grace be ours forever and ever through Christ our Redeemer.

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
