Today’s reflection, May 3
He [Isaiah] said, “What have they seem in your house?” So Hezekiah answered, “They have seen all that is in my house, there is nothing among my treasuries that I have not shown them.” Is 39:4
In the past, whenever I read this text, I could scarcely restrain my disappointment with the king for his unwise actions which negatively impacted Israel.
Only recently, I received an email, which, had I seriously considered the facts, I would have recognized its insidious nature and my account would not have been compromised. Just like that.
When I caught my lapse in judgment, I thought of Hezekiah and of Cain. The truth is, it is so easy to get blindsided by Sin, and in many instances or sin has a community effect.
How do we take responsibility for our actions?
What is our response when someone we ‘love’ Falls into sin?
Lord forgive us AS we forgive
