“And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar. Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lo-debar.” 2 Samuel 9:4-5 KJV
BREAKING NEWS
Prince Jonathan’s crippled son located! Is he the heir to the throne?
Sources reveal that Ziba, a former royal servant in King Saul’s employ, has come forward in response to King David’s quest to find relatives of Prince Jonathan. The prince died along with his father in battle, having succumbed to the impact of an enemy arrow on Mount Giboa. This battle was also the one that claimed the lives of King Saul, Jonathan’s father and Israel’s first king, as well as all Jonathan’s brothers, seemingly in accordance with prophecy.
In light of the death of the Royals and the heir apparent; David the son of Jesse was recognized as king. This is an interesting twist as sources indicate that David, who was Prince Jonathan’s best friend, was anointed king by Seer Samuel over a decade before, posing a serious threat to Saul’s reign. Rumors abound about the situation between David, King Saul’s court musician, and the king who made several attempts on David’s life; including stories about Jonathan rescuing David.
Sources believe that King David’s search for Prince Jonathan’s heirs was an act of repaying the prince’s kindness. It remains to be seen whether this will be the case, for rumors have it that the young prince was living in squalor in the slum region of Lo Debar. Eyewitnesses report that the son lives with a disability, resulting in his total dependence on others for his survival. Yet, he is said to be the only child of Jonathan surviving at the time of David’s ascendancy.
This has the potential to be a Rags to Riches story friends; and it could also be yours. For, as God’s created ones, we are all children of the King. Nevertheless, many are living in the slums of sin, unaware that Jesus is the Messiah, and that He also has been anointed King of Kings for all eternity.
Sources indicate that Jesus also awaits His formal ascension to the throne. It is believed that all Who believe will be invited from the slums of earthly life to live under His reign at that time. Like the news of Prince Jonathan’s son, we too will be personally sought. Our only task – to be ready for that moment.
I am Rev Nicqi Ashwood for HNM News.
