Have you ever read scripture and found afterwards that it is asking much more than you bargained? Please enjoy today’s Holy Nougat
“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31 ASV
Sounds pretty simple right? But what about when we’ve put in the time and effort and we’re not recognized for our hard work? Or when we sacrifice to do something for someone and God says make it anonymous? Or when we know something is taboo (like food or drink) because of allergies or a personal promise to God?
Or that favor or task which was grudgingly completed and far from our best work? How does the Christian glorify God in uncharitable conversation – even when provoked (ouch)? Are we glorifying God when we find the positive regardless of how it looks in the natural?
In short, what credit does God receive from the almost negligible aspects of our lives? For you and for me; ALL GLORY belongs to God.
