You thrill me! You thrill me; You thrill me. Honest You do, honest You do.
Hello
Those were some oldies but goodies from yesteryear. I sure didn’t realize that it could easily have been inspired by today’s Holy Nougat
You thrill me, Lord , with all you have done for me! I sing for joy because of what you have done. Psalms 92:4 NLT
What has the Lord done for you lately? Have you begun to sing for joy?
In church on Sunday, the Easter message focused on the difference between joy and happiness. Joy, we are told, comes from the Lord and is deep and everlasting. Happiness, on the other hand, is brought about by external stimuli. While both are great for balance, it is Joy which keeps us going.
Funny enough Joy is also a choice. We can choose God’s joy; especially when life gets messy. I’m sure we’ve each met with mess at some time. Did we approach with the assurance of God’s marvellous love and grace or were we so preoccupied that we forgot all about God.
Choosing Joy often requires that we look beyond the situation, to the Problem Solver Jesus Christ. Then it’s not “You thrill me”; but “Glory hallelujah! You’re the reason why i sing!
Is God thrilling you today? Share with someone what God has done!
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
