Hi
Evil exists. Take it or leave it.
There’s the bad stuff that happens to good people, and there are those persons who seem to think that their personal goal in life is to make others miserable. Based on today’s Holy Nougat, it’s neither new nor strange.
“When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.” Psalms 27:2 NLT
What varies perhaps, is our response to evil. It is sometimes exceptionally hard to understand the behavior of evil people, to remain faithful to God when the desire to retaliate is great or to be involved in seeking/advocating for justice when it is NOT our fight.
Evil exists and there’s no denying that. In fact, it thrives when us ‘good’ folks fail to act. You know, the bully we tacitly encourage by our silence- at home, school, in the workplace or on the streets (possibly guided by the slogan ‘informer must die’). It thrives when we accept the lie that evil is okay because; or we ignore it since it isn’t ‘My’ problem. It thrives when we give it precedence over our lives, allowing ourselves to be crippled by it, fearing that there’s nothing we can do; or we succumb to a sense of hopelessness.
The Good News is: our God is greater. Greater than any evil or any evil person, regardless of how it is presented. So regardless of the circumstances, regardless of the situation, God’s Purpose will prevail. Regardless of the ‘Who’ or ‘What’; let us be steadfast in the assurance that evil must yield to the might of Our God. So when evil seems to prevail; it’s time to pray, to petition the Throne, for God’s glory must prevail.
When the wicked and evil rise up, it’s time for us to stand our ground in the power of Our God. Not in our strength; but in the sure and certain knowledge of Who and Whose we are in Christ; and under the anointing and direction of God’s Spirit.
Evil exists; but evil MUST fall
Good morning
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
