Hello and blessings
My heart goes out to the families of those impacted in Nevada, and all over the world who are struggling to eke out life after … tragedy.
With hopelessness pervading our homes, places of work/study/play; there have been increased incidences of suicide, violence and random acts of bigotry which require our direct intervention as Believers. How might we be more impactful? I believe it begins with our prayers.
Consider today’s Holy Nougat™
Then some Jews arrived from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowds to their side. They stoned Paul and dragged him out of town, thinking he was dead. But as the believers gathered around him, he got up and went back into the town. The next day he left with Barnabas for Derbe.

What if Paul was actually dead, and the arrival of the Believers symbolised the impact of their prayers? It probably would not have made the news; nevertheless it is a poignant and timely reminder to us believers about our prayer mandate and its potential for transformation.
Unfortunately, there are too few cases of the miraculous occurring on a regular basis among us as Believers. There ought to be something wrong with our comfort in the current spiritual status quo. This is NOT our mandate. Our mandate is preach, teach, heal. Our mandate calls for radical change in us, and in those around us.
Yet we’ve allowed the enemy to cripple our minds for the most part, acting as though we are void of power and authority to effect change. The world needs extra doses of good God news. The world is dying for want of an infusion of hope. It is crying out for the transformation which OUGHT TO be normative when a group of believers are gathered.
We have been called.
We have received the mandate.
We might not stop the bomb attacks, the earthquakes, the hurricanes; the random shooting; BUT we can administer Hope which transforms and renews through Christ Jesus.
When two or three gather … Let’s do more than think about it. Let’s do it.
