Hello,,

Place names in the Caribbean tell the story of the various groups’ experiences … Relief, Report, Success, Penal, Wait a Bit, Time and Patience, Otrabunda, Grand Amse … and the names go on.

If you were to give name to places you’ve lived in in your life; how would you establish criteria for naming?

Consider the following place names in Today’s Holy Nougat™

Moses named the place Massah (which means “test”) and Meribah (which means “arguing”) because the people of Israel argued with Moses and tested the Lord by saying, “Is the Lord here with us or not?” Exodus 17:7 NLT

Can you imagine living in Test and Argue? (Hopefully, that’s not where you are presently) Most of us would rather not have experienced seasons of testing with God, moreover bearing record of that season in naming the place where we dwell. For the Hebrews, it served as a reminder of a season in their journeys. Based on the remaining records, they might not have learned from those experiences. Unfortunately, neither do we.

The Good News is, they eventually made it. One generation later, they proved God’s promises TRUE. However, it wasn’t the folks who left Egypt. Their inability to see God’s goodness cost them. With Christ, we have hopes for more than Testing, Argument and bitterness. For, even though life may offer curve balls, we are not obliged to abide there. But if we do, let us repent immediately. For we KNOW God’s generosity firsthand.

So what’s the name of your current life location? What would it look like from God’s perspective; is that a name change? Let us choose to view our lives from God’s perspective, today and for always.

Speaking deliverance and the testimonies!

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
