Please receive today’s Holy Nougat

““Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen—the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s new creation:” Revelation‬ ‭3:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

How about that – Jesus is our amen. In Christ, we find the complete fulfillment of almost everything that God has promised us. Let’s look at a few examples

Genesis 3: The Fall

When the blame game was over, God’s promise was centred around humanity being restored – Jesus was and is the restorer

Isaiah’s Prophesies

According to Isaiah, there would come a Son Who carried all political might, ruling with wisdom and compassion.(Isaiah 7 and 9)

He also promised that the person would be a ‘sinless’ (read righteous) offspring of David’s royal line. (Isaiah 11)

Isaiah Further promised that the Messiah would take on our sicknesses and sins – by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53)

Jesus was also the the manifestation of God’s Spirit upon humanity as described in Isaiah 61.

Zephaniah : Christ’s return

We are also reminded us that the Messiah would return and gather us unto God – Jesus is the fullness of that promise also, and so we wait (im)patiently for the fulfillment of the promise.

If Christ then satisfies the human requirements for access to God’s throne; while being God’s own self, and Amen is ‘let it be so’, we should be able to see Christ as our Amen. Not money, though it helps to meet immediate needs. Not clothing, whether functional or fashionable. Not political leaders, not friends nor family. In Christ is the final say so, no one else.

And if Christ is our Amen, then truly we pray in His Name; believing that He hears, understands and intercedes! And in the fullness of God’s time, we will experience the manifestation, the beginning of God’s new creation.

We comfort ourselves with those words, and work towards strengthening our relationship with Jesus our Amen.
