Feeling overwhelmed by life’s ups and downs; take a nature break. And if you cannot be out in the real garden; then look at the picture as you consider today’s Holy Nougat
“And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?” Matthew 6:30 NLT
There it stood, alone and blooming where it had been planted. The splash of color in a sea of green. Not quite the typical wildflower, its place had been planned by a landscaper, nevertheless a very clear reminder of God’s presence and provision to anyone who cared to listen.
Here we are, struggling at times to keep ahead of whatever new hurdles face us in the race of life. Oftentimes, we are the splash of color in the ocean of greens or browns, the reminder that someone needs to hear, that they are not alone. For, like the tulip, we have been planned by a landscaper; The Master Landscaper indeed; Who often is misunderstood for allowing us to be, in places where we are the dash of color.
As beautiful as it was, the tulip had not wholly developed; the cap was still on top; nevertheless it was at risk of being plucked before maturity by a human. It wasn’t. The danger would remain throughout its lifespan, but the bulb adorned the garden with its grace and beauty.
Because of our beauty (Christ’s love shining from within); there are those who may wish to ensnare or dampen our spirits and creativity. And, whether it has happened or not; we allow Christ to care for us; even – no – ESPECIALLY in the face of adversity. We thrive, and embrace the nurturing of the Master Landscaper, allowing the fresh Air of the Holy Spirit to renew and restore us.
Consider the blooming weed along the roads and take courage from them. God cares; God sustains and God will provide for each of us.
