If our focus is God’s will for our lives, we will find it easier to cope with the stresses of life (Matthew 6.32-33). The church in Colosse struggled with the expectations others sought to impose on their dress, worship, rituals and food. Sounds familiar yes?
Rather than encouraging theological debates, the church was reminded to keep God’s plan as the main thing. So, whatever is competing for our attention that really goes against God’s plan and purpose … Let’s ditch it.
