Hello

How’s it going? Blessed I hope. There’s a song on my heart which needs to be shared.

It is today’s nougat

Thou hast turned my mourning into dancing for me; thou hast put off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness so that my glory will sing praise unto thee and not be silent. O Lord my God; I will sing praises unto thee forever. Psalm 30:11-12

The psalms; the original soul music. They speak to almost every aspect of the human condition – love, betrayal, hunger, anger, destitution, joy, redemption … you name it

These two verses however speak to hope. In the midst of defeat and depression and despair; the psalmist recognises the Wellspring of hope. God.

And suddenly, the prophetic words not yet uttered become all so real. Good gives beauty for ashes and replaces sackcloths with gladness! What a God! O my God.

As the psalmist and prophet have indicated; there’s only ONE logical response. Praise. Don’t wait for the solution. Praise through the mourning.

Step aside MC Hammer, the Messiah’s in the House! And he’s working things out!

(Use the tune of can’t touch this or create your own)

Don’t worry now. God’s got this; God’s got this

No need to fret. God’s got this

Do not despair. God’s got this. God’s got this.

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
