Nougat 28

Today’s Holy Nougat offers us a note of Hope, and a challenge. I pray that the reflection will help us discern our way forward.

“Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem.” John‬ ‭4:21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

… and that time has come!

For while we may have an affinity for Israel and or Jerusalem, we are not there. We might even have in our possession, enough dirt to have established an altar ‘in Jerusalem’, the fact remains – we are NOT in THAT special temple worshipping.at this time.

Had we been bound to the Old Covenant, it would certainly be a problem. In fact, many of us would be excluded from worshiping there since we’re not biologically Jews.

But God gives grace through our resurrected Christ, Jesus, affords each one of us the opportunity to worship ‘away from the Temple or even the mountains of Samaria.

For us, United by Christ’s loving sacrifice and conquest of Death, we have Direct Access to God – no further intermediary needed. Because our Intermediary lives within each of us.

Every day

All day

The moment we choose Him as our Lord and Saviour.

And that IS the Good News!
