We have not used this forum for intentional prayer in a while. I urge each of us to do so today. Today’s Holy Nougat places prayer squarely at the center of spiritual warfare.
“Pray in the Ruach on every occasion, with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, keep alert with perseverance and supplication for all the kedoshim. And pray for me when I open my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News,”
Ephesians 6:18-19 TLV
We pray in God’s Spirit, as led by God’s Spirit, for God’s intervention in a world dying for a touch from God.
We pray in God’s Spirit, as led by God’s Spirit, for God’s intervention in our nation wherever you are (and wherever you are from).
We pray in God’s Spirit, as led by God’s Spirit, for God’s intervention in our church – local, denominational, the national group of churches, the church of God globally.
We pray in God’s Spirit, as led by God’s Spirit, for God’s intervention in our schools – for teachers, admin and auxiliary staff, other parents (and extended families) and place all our children under God’s watchful care
We pray in God’s Spirit, as led by God’s Spirit, for our workplaces, our supermarkets, our pharmacies, our places of entertainment – for all who are employed, for coverage and peace in this season
We pray in God’s Spirit, as led by God’s Spirit, for the unemployed, the frontline workers, the homeless, the sick and infirm – people who are often forgotten in our contexts
We pray in God’s Spirit, as led by God’s Spirit, for our spiritual leaders – that they might lead with wisdom by God’s Spirit, for such a time as this; for all the saints everywhere, that we all stay faithful in spite of the circumstances we face globally.
We pray in God’s Spirit, as led by God’s Spirit, for families – blessed or broken – that God’s Spirit rests and abides with them and keeps them strong to persevere and overcome
We pray in God’s Spirit as led by God’s Spirit, that we are FULLY clothed in the armour of God, and that no matter what, we’re found standing at the end; for the challenges we face and the things that bring us joy.
We pray in God’s Spirit, as led by God’s Spirit, for this devotional, for all who actually read it, for all who ‘need’ it, for the one who, led by God’s Spirit, writes daily; that she might remain in faithful in boldly proclaiming the mystery of God.
We pray in God’s Spirit, as led by God’s Spirit … in Jesus name amen
