Blessed Wednesday to you. Here’s today’s Holy Nougat

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 NLT

Sometimes, we are simply caught up in the hype. Or maybe we need to revisit our priorities. In any case, we are omce again invited to examine our values and attitudes.

For ultimately, it’s a matter of faith, odds truly a matter of the heart. In Whom do we put our trust? What happens when we’re outnumbered and perhaps outgunned? It is not always easy then to focus on The One Who is able to keep us from falling. Especially when we ate the one overlooked by the masses. (For that happens quite regularly too. Where the problem isn’t so much the what is before us, as it is surrounding the odds to believe in ourselves).

So, having recognized what really matters, the only thing left is to zero in on the heart of the matter. If God’s priority is the state of the heart, what is the state of our hearts?
