Nothing was going right for the Christian in that season. A break would be welcomed. And suddenly; the prized possession was missing. The Christian’s response was slightly uncharacteristic; ‘Like; really God!?’ Ironically the item was found. Scarcely a thank You Jesus was uttered. The miracle missed as the Christian mused on all that had gone awry.
Proving that one has integrity occasionally presents a challenge; especially in a new environment. With a sigh, the person uttered, ‘By God, it wasn’t me!’ None of their expressions changed. Until one said, ‘So you think your God will vouch for you huh. Let’s see.’
In shock, the self-proclaiming atheist cried, ‘Jesus!’ The Christian was pleasantly surprised. ‘I thought you didn’t believe in God; but you are calling on Jesus! What’s up with that?’ Breezily, the atheist replied; ‘Well, I don’t use cuss-words, and everyone uses it as an expression. It’s just another word.’
Hmmm
Have we walked any of those paths before? Was there anything off kilter to us in the scenarios? Consider today’s Holy Nougat
“Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.” Matthew 6:9 NLT
What does it mean to reverence God? Do our attitudes serve to reverence God’s name?
May our walk and talk show the world that our God is like no other. No trivializing of God’s name or casual diminishing of God’s persona.
Good morning
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
