Oh what a promise! Of course; it’s not any old body’s word which is foolproof, it’s only God’s. So many words uttered over time; but only one valid “Let there be”, and it is. So many impossibilities, so many improbabilities, and yet it is; simply because God has made a Divine declaration.
Today’s promise, which is also transliterated as ” … with God nothing is impossible”; was passed to Mary. Upon her agreement and questioning of Jesus’ conception, the messenger Gabriel replied with the comforting assurance of God’s provision and protection.
Is there something God wishes us to be party to in the creative process? Has the Lord spoken to us about our improbabilities and impossibilities? How so? Could the Lord be inviting you or me to be in partnership in ways that exceeds all we could ever ask, hope for, or imagine?
Let’s tune out the naysayers and all else the world would have us believe. Let us choose instead to focus on God’s plan, God’s promise, and God’s purpose. And all in God’s will.
God is speaking now. Sssssssh!!!!! Can you hear?! Be of good cheer, God’s Word will not return void.
