Hello there

Once again migrants and refugees are headlining the news. No one seems to want them around, even when they are only children. How do we respond to the vulnerable and displaced, especially when they seem to add little or no value to our social fabric? Many theories abound, but none which seem to address the real issue.

In the meantime, whole we might over the world’s dilemmas, here’s today’s Holy Nougat™

while the more honorable parts do not require this special care. So God has put the body together such that extra honor and care are given to those parts that have less dignity. 1 Corinthians 12:24 NLT

Sometimes, it’s a bit difficult to view the Other in the way Jesus views each of us – in love. But what if we were represented by those parts which have less dignity accorded them? Would our assessment of those members of the Body of Christ be any different?

More importantly, who are those individuals/groups which we find ourselves venerating? And those we vilify? Unfortunately, sometimes we get our priorities crossed in the interaction. But God.

As we move toward the end of a month and the dawning season of Advent, I pray we might revisit our priorities such that those whom the Lord deems important are equally important to us.

In Christ’s love and grace
