Blessings my dears

Yesterday’s service was custom designed for me. A word in season just for me. How was service this past weekend? (And before you start wondering, sometimes reflecting on past worship services helps to cement the lessons on our souls)

Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™

So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Hebrews 12:12 NLT

Imagine being admonished to walk worthy, actually run steadily toward eternity, being warned that one might be chastised because of divine favour; then being told to offer support to those who are faltering? Isn’t Christianity supposed be about each person seeking her/his salvation with fear and trembling? Yet, if it is about supporting the weak hands and feeble feet in our midst, then perhaps many of us and our churches have got some real repenting to do.

Christianity has been described as the only religion where we shoot our wounded. Yet, as early as Old Testament (Isaiah 35), this principle was clearly stated. Not “remove the sinner to reduce contamination”, but be a source of healing, protection and wholeness to the fallen.

Is there a weak hand or lame foot further crippling the body of Christ more than we embarrassed and disappointed Jesus? If so, clearly it is time for us to cover that person’s nakedness (like God did for Adam and Eve), remembering that we’re NOT God, seeking therefore to restore them to fellowship, not turn them out of Eden.

How about it, could we help heal the broken in our spiritual family? Let’s be the love our family needs. Who knows, the life we save might be our own.

In Christ
