Here’s today’s nougat
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Isaiah 43.2
As one who’s got a PhD in drowning, this verse feels as if it was written for me. Just imagine a grown woman standing in knee- deep water, brought to tears when her instructor tells her to place her head underwater for all of 10 seconds! Several tears later, she accomplished that goal.
Then think of your worst fear, your worst real life excellence, your worst day. Then hear your Savior telling you that as dangerous, as scary, as painful as your circumstance is; you are NOT alone. And somehow, you find reserve energy tho take the plunge amid address your issue.
This is our Savior’s guarantee to each of us. And yet, many of us fail to accept the invitation. Whammy
So what will we do with this invitation? Time to take God seriously.
