Hi

Did you go to school with the eternal optimist? And were you one of those praying for a little tragedy in their life just to see whether the person would remain positive? If you weren’t, that’s good. If you were the optimist, I apologize on behalf of us others. If you were the one praying ill for the optimist; it’s not too late to repent, in fact today’s Holy Nougat may offer you an opportunity to be an eternal optimist also .

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves in tender compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience— bearing with one another and forgiving each other, if anyone has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord pardoned you, so also you must pardon others. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfect harmony.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:12-14‬ ‭TLV‬‬

My dears, I promise to look at bearing and forebearing tomorrow because I would like to focus on our stylish haute couture Lifetime Lifestyle makeover piece just now, namely love

Yes Love. It not only covers a host of sins and slights, but it transforms the simplest of things into beauty. And when that Love is God-derived, it’s hmmn hmmn good! Yes indeed.

You see, I’m rediscovering that Love preceded Creation. (Even if it was a Big Bang for you, Love drew those particles together to create what then was and now is). And if Love was before and present at Creation, then we (humans) were made IN Love, BY Love and TO reflect that Love to ALL God’s creation.

Let’s bask in that awareness for a bit

In facilitating the creation of each of us; God’s Love was present fashioning us into being (Jeremiah 1:5; Psalm 139). Even those ‘unloveable’ parts of our physical being was created IN God’s Love

Since God is Love and we have God’s DNA embedded in us (Genesis 1:26-28); we also have the Love genome . Allow that to sink in.

But God’s Love also became human, and demonstrated how to spread the Love – even unto physical death. But here’s the joyous fact; God’s Love is greater than Death! So Love lives on this moment and awaits us in Eternity.

So there’s enough to keep; enough to share and enough to keep replenishing; for strangely (as only God’s Love can) Love begets Love. It adds color to every moment and value to that which is considered plain or ordinary. Love does not include rose-tinted spectacles, it chooses to see the other with the Creator’s lenses; exercising the right to see the original potential of humanity as Good and Blessed.

Wearing the garment of Love is not always easy for us humans. Sometimes the person we struggle to love is ourselves and that carries its own challenges. But that’s where God’s Spirit comes in – for God’s Spirit is a DNA specialist and has vast experience in rebuilding and rebooting Love genomes. Even a breathed sigh can be enough to get selected for transformation. And as for stitching; when God is done with our outfit, even the dingy bits become a wondrous pattern in the outfit.

I’m getting mine done today; how about you?

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
