J-O-Y JOY! Joy in the Holy Ghost!
J-O-Y JOY! Joy in the Lord
Don’t you want to know what’s really Joy (x2)
It’s Joy in the Lord

Hello. This was a chorus that carried sway back in the day. And with our focus on Joy today, it seems appropriate. Please receive today’s Holy Nougat
“Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening.” Acts of the Apostles 16:25 NLT
“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!” Galatians 5:22-23 NLT
At a time when Paul and Silas were actually witnessing about Christ, and manifesting the Gifts of the Spirit; they were thrown in jail. Falsely accused, stripped naked, beaten almost to a pulp with wooden clubs, before being thrown in jail.
And what did they do in jail?
Praise God of course!
Right there in prison, Praise.
In the face of persecution, Praise.
For in spite of their location, despite the abuse they faced, these men, led by God’s Spirit, gave thanks and praises to God. That’s the power of praise. It’s the joy of the Lord that praises when thieves set traps for you and others try to expose your most vulnerable side.
Spirit-filled Joy is more than just happiness. It overtakes us in unexpected ways and trying circumstances. It gives us the strength to look to God ESPECIALLY when the going gets rough, even when betrayal like Jesus faced s the order of the day or night. For, we have that Blessed Assurance that no matter what we face, God is, was, and will always be in control of our lives. Including our current situations, good or bad.
And if we can’t find our deep-rooted joy; God’s Spirit awaits our request. I pray us all true Joy, God’s Joy in all life’s situations.
