So, having offered us the challenge yesterday, I went one step further by asking the Lord to help me identify any idols which I might be entertaining unwittingly.
Of course, God, being God, replied.
One of the things the (post) Modern individual prides themself on is their independence. And I hadn’t realised that I was falling once again into that insular pattern until a series of events awakened me.
I repented.
And, once I submitted to God’s way, found an easier path to my destination. Sometimes, in fact, all the times, we find that rejecting the world’s ways in favor of God’s, realises better returns on our spiritual and social investments.

Just ask the Lord to reveal to you where the idols are in your life.
