For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. I Corinthians 6:20 NKJV
In an era when slavery continues to be practiced by too many, the notion of being bought tends to evoke one reaction.
However, this is different. God’s act of purchasing each of us is intended to restore us unto abundant life. The life intended for us prior to the Fall. A life of full communion with the Eternal God, our Creator; Christ, our Redeemer; and the Indwelling Holy Spirit, our Guide.
And it is the Triune God who effects our obedience and transformation. Our natural selves no longer cleaves to worship. Rather, despite the void within, our systems lean toward proving ourselves equal to God.
And we fall out of communion.
But for the Blood. Because that ONE act of defiance by him who is wholly God, wholly human GUARANTEES our acceptance by the Creator and our guidance and protection from the Indwelling Holy Spirit.
First, we choose. Daily we choose.
Today, I choose to be In community with the Triune God.
