Hello
I am not a fighter. My sisters fought all my battles. But then there was 6th grade, when I was all alone … Then I paid for all those years. The fight ended when I retaliated as the girl disembarked. Since then, I’ve tried to avoid fights as much as possible.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
You will look in vain for those who tried to conquer you. Those who attack you will come to nothing. Isaiah 41:12 NLT
For non-fighters like me, this is worth chewing on. Not only am I assured that I No longer have to hide from my attackers (I hid for nearly two months), but I am also assured that my enemies will be vanquished. True, this is a prophetic word directed at Israel, but it serves as a comfort to my spirit. Especially when the devil seeks me as relentlessly as my childhood bully.
When we recognize that our enemy is the Devil and not the persons behind some of our life situations, this promise is even more comforting.
Let’s stop trying to fight those battles, for the battle is the Lord’s.
In Christ’s love and grace
