Good morning

At least I think it’s morning most places. Yesterday was the 25th, when we pause to reflect on the collateral damage of gender- based violence and seek to Orange Our World in solidarity with survivors.

May I encourage us to pray for even ONE person whom we know who has been affected by gender-based violence; whether as victim, survivor, perpetrator or relative/caregiver.

Here’s today’s nougat

I – yes, even I – will blot out your sins for my own sake, and I will never think of them again. Isaiah 43.25

This verse has been with me for a while in various iterations. This, as God wished to be accessible to us; despite the many sins which have littered and cluttered our relationship.

I also remembered the case of the siblings. One hurt the other. Terribly. It left deep- rooted emotional scars which fail to disappear very easily.

After apologizing, the one noticed that the other was still maintaining a cold shoulder. The other finally let go of the pain and soon could not keep record of the one’s transgressions. Some years later theiy were restored. And a burden was lifted from both their lives.

When we hurt The One; we know that our sin leaves a major stain on our relationship. Thanks be to God, the Blood of Jesus ensures that OUR SINS are all forgotten. Now that is advocacy. Can you imagine our past remains past! Thanks to the Blood of Jesus.

Perhaps we could opt to forgive others as we have been forgiven.

More anon.

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
