Nougat 26

As we receive today’s Holy Nougat, I pray we might be drawn to reflect on what we have learned and that the prayer will resonate with us.

“But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭26‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Teach us dear Spirit of God

Quench our thirst for knowledge and You and to experience You. Prepare our hearts for Your inhabiting, so You feel welcomed and can thrive. Remind us that we are Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for excellence and help us to walk in that knowledge – not for vanity rather that – with confidence we might do the will of Jesus, Who sent us. May the transformation be visible so that others will seek to learn more, knowing You for themselves.

Teach us Spirit of God, so we speak Your truth and not other truths we’ve gleaned from questionable sources . Teach us and dispel the lies we have accepted without question; put paid to the vices that hold us bound. Teach us for Your knowledge brings true power: to tread on scorpions and to remove the poisonous effects of serpents. Teach us so we might release others who are dis-eased after such evil attacks.

Teach us dear Spirit of God, how to love in the face of betrayal, how to forgive the same thing from the same person without even stopping to count how many times. Teach us Spirit of God to also forgive our own selves. When we’ve wronged others and we have wronged You. Sometimes, that’s why we lose connection with You, for we think we’re beyond Your love, since we are unable to let go of the wrong we did.

Teach us dear Spirit of God, that it’s okay to be okay; especially when we’re focused on You. May our Love, rooted in Your Love and Mercy, be so contagious that the world will be transformed by You. Empowered by Your teaching, we will be full of You, appointed and anointed for God’s glory. Amen
